Latest Information (07/26/2016)
•This has been a tough year for Police Departments across our country. I would like to remind everyone that we are here to serve and protect the citizens of our community and visitors. We do this day in and day out to the best of our ability and to the highest standards. With this we are only human and do make mistakes. If one of our officers makes a mistake or you do not feel handled your situation correctly, please feel free to contact the Chief of Police, as a lifetime resident of this community I want everyone to have a positive experience with our department.
•We are getting regular complaints about speeding on village streets and the officers will be spending more time monitoring this. The streets that we have heard the most complaints about are East Avenue and Church Street. As a reminder several streets in the area of the village are posted 25MPH. If everyone could take a second and use common sense and a little courtesy we all would have safer travels through the village.
•In the very near future we will have a prescription drop box located in the village entrance. This will be in the vestibule that is accessible 24 hours a day. This box is for ANY unwanted medications or drugs. This is a no questions asked drop box.
•With the new school year fast approaching Officer Truax will have completed his SRO training and be back on the job. He is there for many reasons and I truly think this is very important to our kid’s safety and education. If you ever have questions, comments, or need to talk to him you can call our office, the school or there is a link on the Village Web site.
•As I have said before please feel free to come to us with your comments and concerns. We can only provide the best service with the feedback that we get from the residents.
